Our Approach

  • Step 2 The Delivery
  • Step 3 The Partnership
  • The Learning - Initial meeting and contact

The main objective here is to gather information as much as possible regarding the business of our prospect client day in day out. We educate ourselves in order to be able to apprehend the challenge they face and to see how and when we can address them and eventually what we can offer them in a meaningful way. This can include looking at database, meeting delegates if necessary and learning about best practices.

  • The Delivery - The proposal, discussion and delivery

The fully tailored proposal is submitted based on the talks carried out in step 1 and our clients' feedback and suggestions. Discussions will take place. The needed changes are carried out to reflect a mirror image of our client's needs addressed correctively and meaningfully spot on.
Once this is done and approved, on site and offsite research and desk work will be carried out by our training associates keeping in mind all of our clients' needs, challenges, best practices and even delegates feedback, in order to reflect more quality and relevance of the subject matter presented and to provide a more meaningful staging of the learning experience. Finally in this step the delivery takes place where the tailored course is delivered by a bilingual or trilingual associate training partner in a venue of our client's choice.

  • The Partnership - Measurement and Follow-up

In this step of the process our clients had already seen and lived the edu-enter-training experience we share with participants and have already formulated their opinion based on the feedback they receive from participants with regards to continuing our relationship. The return on investment is measured together with clients from the happy sheets level to application of skills on the job, to implementation of knowledge and change of behavior and up to the R.O.I. We strongly recommend to our clients, being "No parachute trainers" to conduct implementation workshops as part of measuring the return on investment. We advise them on the most effective ways available to them to maximize on the learning imparted. This will benefit both Cornerstone and our partner clients as more training needs will be highlighted and more cadet management prospect employees are identified. Whilst still digging down deep to instill the powerful root of trust and loyalty.

Competence Framework

  • Results
If core values are the branch of the tree, and the values are the sub branch, and if beliefs are the hooks that grow on that sub branch, then the results are the fruit that hangs out of that branch. In another word, if we try to map out and track back our results today, it is very true to say that it all goes back to our core values make up, values, beliefs and competencies. Is it too bold to admit then, that we are all responsible for our results? This will put us always at a CAUSE perspective rather than EFFECTperspective. This means we are responsible for our actions and should take full responsibility of that at all times.
  • Competence
Competence is the combination of the three elements described in the previous step. They are the other element important for our performance next to objectives. Our performance appraisal is often made of a bunch of competencies and a number of objectives that we are supposed to achieve yearly.  Our competencies are what we require usually coaching on. They represent the HOW of doing a task (actions) as opposed to the WHAT of doing a task. In other words, people are coached on their actions (HOW) which indirectly affects their results (WHAT).
  • Skills - Behavior - Knowledge
Skills - Behavior - Knowledge The combination of those three elements is actually what is known as our competence. Our actions and our skills as well as knowledge will have an immediate effect on the desired results we're supposed to attain.  BEHAVIOR Any behavioral shift is short lived if it is not supported with the right foundation. It has been proven that people only decide to change and shift their current behaviors, or learn and unlearn new habits, when their beliefs and values are well firmed up regarding that behavior.  SKILLS Skills are acquired easily when people are ready themselves to learn. Once the values of what is important to learn are in place and the beliefs are solid, knowledge transfer is only a foregone conclusion, and not only that, but also the deployment of those learnt skills and knowledge at the workplace. KNOWLEDGE This dimension is what people need, to complete the recipe of learning as it defines the third element of what we know as competency.
  • Attitudes
Attitudes are one step ahead of our behaviors. They lead to them and this is the very first thing that people see in us, which sometimes define prematurely our personality. Our attitude is defined by our beliefs and it is the lens through which we see the world and which paves the ground for our actions to follow.
  • Beliefs
Beliefs are our own lies to ourselves. Those are facts and definitions about the world around us, that we would like to consider as true. "It does not matter if you believe that you can or you cannot, because either way you are right".  Our beliefs are based on our values and if our core values are the branch of the tree and our values are the sub branch, then our beliefs are the leaves that grow out of that.  Our beliefs determine our actions, behaviors and results eventually.
  • Values
Values are things that are important to us. They are how we decide whether our actions are good or bad, right or wrong. They are high level generalisations that describe that which is important to you. They are a filter.  They are how we decide about how we feel about our actions.  They guide our every decision and therefore our destiny. They are less deep in our make up than the core values which hold them. If the core values are the branch of the tree, then the values are the sub branch. They are nominalizations like satisfaction, protection, devotion, determination etc. We instill them through three periods namely, the imprint period (Age 1-7), modelling period (Age 8-14) and socializing period (Age 15-21). SOme of them can be changed and replaced by other values because of experiences and exposrure. They can also be classified differently in terms of hierarchy because of our interactions with others. By the age of 21, most of those values are well installed in a human being. They resist change especially the ones formed at the imprint period, however, to a lesser extent than the core values. Sometimes, changing the core values or even values formed at the imprint period require psychological intervention or therapy.
  • Core Values
Core values are concepts that fuel your decisions and motivation. They are words like: health, freedom, security, love, relationships, trust, fun, adventure and so forth.   We turn these concepts into values when they are important enough to have a significant and consistent influence over our behaviors and decisions.   If you value health, then your actions will be aligned with preserving health. If you don’t value health that much, then your behaviors will be less likely to preserve it over time.   You can discover your core values by honestly answering the question, “What’s important to me in life?” Make a list, Then, examine your behaviors to determine if they support your values.   If your behaviors do not align with your values, then you are 1) living in conflict with your values or 2) fooling yourself about the proposed value.
  • Meta Programs
Meta programs are our inputting, sorting and filtering preferences. They guide and direct our thought process and behavior. They determine how we motivate ourselves, make decisions, buy things, what we are interested in, how we manage time, how long we stay in a job or relationship, our effectiveness with tasks and how we solve problems.   They are the programs, which guide and direct other processes (hence the “Meta”). Because of this, they play a key part in what others see as our personality. We tend to forget they are things we do rather than who we are. Meta programs also constitute what we do unconsciously like walking, moving our arms and legs, talking, breathing, digesting food, our survival reactions (fight or flight response) and other sub conscious habits that define our daiy rituals. Our sub conscious mind has the blue print of those functionalities and defaults that form the launching platform that underpins any other consciously made or enforced efforts, tasks and behaviors.
  • Totally Unconscious
Totally Unconscious In this stage, we are all unaware of our surroundings and in a state of total black out and shut down.  Basically in this state of mind, we are totally non functional.
