Being trilingual - fluent in Arabic, English and French - has made her approach of a great deal of proximity to the learners’ mind and made possible a smooth way of interaction with people of various backgrounds.
Dr. Malaeb has more than 8 years of experience teaching humanity and social science courses in local as well as international universities: American University in Dubai, University of Wollongong Dubai. She is still pursuing her career at the American University in Dubai where she teaches: Introduction to Philosophy, Critical Thinking, Professional Ethics, World Cultures and Political Theory. Dr. Malaeb succeeded in spreading to students the appropriate form of knowledge and in making them love and enjoy humanities and social sciences – a material that was rather alien to them.
Her area of expertise extends beyond the borders of the courses she teaches, for Dr. Malaeb has expertise in stimulating the learners’ ability to critical thinking, creativity, innovation, comparative thinking, analytical and synthetic reflection, problem solving, long term and short term goal achievement and analysis. All this implemented with interesting hands-on and novel approaches involving activities inside and outside the class room that bring theoretical knowledge of the humanities and social sciences courses which she administers, closer to the practical and quotidian life of every learner.
